There’s a constant knot in my stomach and I’m waking up in the middle of the night – that must mean that the publication day for A Class Entwined is fast approaching! I’m excited to share my new book with you but of course the nerves are starting to kick in too. There is so much to do in the run-up to the release and I am ticking off lists left, right and centre!
A momentous step in the process was the arrival of the proof copies during the week. It’s a very special moment to open a box and find your own book looking back at you. 😀
Once I was happy with the proofs, I could approve the paperback on Amazon and order official copies. So people in my hometown of Thurles, Co Tipperary should keep an eye out as the book will be in stock in Bookworm and Eason’s hopefully the first week in February!
A fun thing I tried out for this book launch was designing some book merchandise. It was easy to get carried away on various sites adding my book covers onto a range of promotional items! Here are the gorgeous notebooks I designed on VistaPrint:
I have more things coming and am just waiting for them to be delivered…watch this space!
Another thing I did was I visited the Kildare Heritage Centre. Kildare Town is strongly associated with Ireland’s patron saint St Brigid. Given that I will be publishing A Class Entwined on February 1st, St Brigid’s Day, I wanted to explore the history of this important female figure in Irish history. I will be revealing what I discovered in a guest post on launch day. I couldn’t help picking up some lovely souvenirs while I was there – here are a couple of them:
If you like the look of any of the above merchandise, make sure you stay in touch here on my website or on Facebook and Twitter as I will be doing giveaways to celebrate the book launch.
The best way to hear about the giveaways is to attend my Facebook book launch event. On the day of the release, I’ll be available on the event page to chat and answer questions throughout the day and I’ll be announcing ways for you to win free copies of my books as well as lovely book prizes! You can click on the link below to join the event.
In yet more news, I’m thrilled to announce that my books will also be going on a blog tour. This is a fantastic opportunity for both A Class Apart and A Class Entwined to visit a variety of blogs over five days, from Friday 1st February to Tuesday 5th February. Many of the bloggers will be writing reviews of one or both of the books, while others will be sharing an excerpt, doing a spotlight, or allowing me to write a guest post. Here is the blog tour schedule:
I can’t wait until February 1st. 5 restless sleeps to go!
