I started this blog almost exactly six years ago, publishing my first blog post on 20th April 2013. Over that time, I have published 130 posts and have maintained a minimum frequency of at least one post per month. These are very modest numbers compared to other bloggers who blog every week or even every day, but I’m still happy with the content I’ve created over the years.
However, I have recently made the decision to retire my blog! Well, I may not get rid of it entirely but I am going to take a step back from it so that I won’t be updating it monthly anymore.
My main reason for this is that I currently run both a blog and a newsletter and have found that one of two things usually happens: either I focus more on one platform at the expense of the other, or I end up repeating myself on both platforms. What I’d prefer to do is put all my attention onto one of them and do it well. So I’ve chosen to keep the newsletter going and give the blog a break for now.
If you’ve been following my blog and have enjoyed reading it, then fear not! I will be carrying my typical blog content over into my newsletter. That will be the place to continue to hear more about me and my writing, including my historical fiction series A Matter of Class (Book 1: A Class Apart and Book 2: A Class Entwined, and four more books to come in the series). I will send you updates about exclusive content, new releases, and other interesting news! These updates will go straight to your email inbox. If you want to join my group of newsletter readers, then click on the link below.
Once you’ve joined, the good news is you’ll get a free short story right away. It’s called When Class Began To Matter and it’s a prequel to A Matter of Class. There will be more free goodies like this in the future. 🙂
I just want to say thank you so much for being a blog reader, whether this is the 1st or 130th post you’ve read. I really appreciate you taking the time to read my words and I hope we can keep up the connection over on the newsletter!
All the best,
